Latest Updates from Our Project:

A few words from The Dusk team...

Citizens of Blackstone!

Normally, we try to get these updates out to you earlier in the day but it's been a bit like herding cats to get the videos below from The Dusk team. They've been partying nonstop since The Dusk campaign hit its funding goal yesterday. No one has even seen Joe Illidge since he rented a speedboat for what he promised was just going to be a quick jaunt to the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. If anyone sees Joe out on the Thames River, tell him we're a little worried, OK?

Anyway, a few words from Alex Segura:

The elusive Liz Little speaks!

David Hahn speaks directly from his heart to yours, while...driving? Come on, David, don't use your phone while driving!

Hopefully, we can find Joe and get a message out of him too but in the meantime, thank you all again! One more in our series of regular updates tomorrow!

Citizens of Blackstone, we are FUNDED!

Thank you very much for making this project possible! You'll be hearing more from the creative team behind The Dusk tomorrow but we wanted to spread the word and make sure everyone knows that we are officially a go!

Onward to the first stretch goal, a digital Black and White artist edition of The Dusk!

Almost there!

Citizens of Blackstone!

We've had a tremendous run over the last 24 hours and as these words are being typed, The Dusk finds itself perilously close to hitting its funding goal this morning. Not to put the cart too far ahead of the horse but thank you all so much for everything you guys have done to help us bring this project to life. In particular, we want to present the first-ever key to Blackstone City to the mysterious ELMI, who has supported this project in a way that has blown us all away. We're going to cook up something special just for you, Elmi, and while we're sorry it won't be that Alex Ross painting you were hoping for, we hope you'll understand our gratitude for your tremendous gesture.

As the saying goes, no man is poor that has friends and this campaign is blessed to have two incredible friends in Ray Anthony Height and Pete Woods, both of whom have delivered some astonishing art for this project.  Ray took the opportunity to put together a good old-fashioned super-hero team up with his character, Midnight Tiger, and now we want to read this story just as much as we do Impossible Dusk!

How cool would this team up be?!?

And then there's Pete Woods, who perfectly embodied the spirit of what The Dusk is and who the character is striving to be, with this bright, optimistic cover image.

Pete Woods covers The Dusk

Wait. Did we just say "cover image?" That's right, we did! The Pete Woods piece is our last variant cover and the final new reward that we'll be introducing. The Pete Woods variant edition HARDCOVER is now available to new backers and as an add on through the final 48 hours of the campaign.

During the writing of this update, we've crept even closer to our funding goal. We couldn't be more excited to see this project coming to life and we'll be bringing you some words from the creators of The Dusk very shortly!

The home stretch begins!

Citizens of Blackstone!

Are you guys ready for what should be a wild week? The Dusk is currently 92% funded with 71 hours left in the campaign. We're excited for these final few days and the exhilarating sprint to the finish line that's ahead, and glad you guys are our "ride or die" until the very end.

Thanks to all of you that grabbed the backer-exclusive set of 13 lobby cards that we offered in Friday's update. Your extra support has pushed us even closer to our funding goal.

We understand that not everybody reads every update so, if you missed it,  we're currently offering a VERY limited (to 50) edition, signed and numbered (by Segura, Little and Hahn) set of 13 Lobby Cards only available through these updates. This set will never be sold through our website or in any other way once the campaign ends. We do still have a handful of sets remaining; if you'd like one, all you need to do is adjust your pledge by $60 and leave a comment on this update or the main KS page. We'll take care of the rest on our end. Don't miss out because once they're gone, they're really, really gone!

We still have several original art rewards available as we reach the final days of the campaign, beautiful pieces by Drew Edward Johnson, Adam Gorham, Dean Haspiel, and Robert Hack. David Hahn's original art for PAGE FOUR is also still listed on the site.  Here's a quick peek if you've forgotten what we're talking about here:

Gorham!
Dino!
Hack!
Johnson!

We've had such an abundance of riches throughout this campaign; so many incredible guest artists have stopped by but just so you think this is a greatest hits show, how about some new pin up art you haven't seen yet? This super cool piece by Jacob Edgar will also be gracing the pin up section of The Dusk hardcover later this year!

Speaking of the hardcover, we've got one final reward to add tomorrow as we hurtle towards the end. Peggy Carpenter, we apologize to your husband in advance but trust us, it wood be worth it. And that's a hint, not a typo.

Sharing is caring!

Exclusive backer offer!
almost 5 years ago – Mon, Apr 19, 2021 at 07:19:16 AM

Citizens of Blackstone!

Some very cool new Dusk pin up art arrived at the Ominous offices today so, before we get into our regularly-scheduled update, don't mind if we flex a little! First up, a lovely piece of awesome by Vincente Federici!

The Dusk Knight Returns!

Next up, Richard Ortiz gives us a pensive, brooding Dusk, as the defender of Blackstone City ponders his next move in the war against crime, while simultaneously reminding us all it's important not to skip leg day at the gym!

The Dusk broods

Both Richard and Vincente's pin ups will be included in the collected hardcover edition of The Dusk.  If the Eisner's give out an award for best pin-up section next year, The Dusk is pretty much a lock to add that trophy to the ones it's already going to pick up for best writer(s), artist, letterer, colorist, and graphic album. That's right, we're predicting a clean sweep!

And now, back to our regularly scheduled update.

We have a special offer today that is ONLY available to existing backers, and only offered through these updates. It will NEVER be listed as a reward or regular add-on through the campaign, nor through our website or other third-party sales platforms once The Dusk ends this coming Thursday.

You guys are familiar with our set of 12 lobby cards, correct? If not, here's a quick reminder:

We're making available, again, only through these updates, an exclusive, limited-edition, signed and numbered set of 13 lobby cards to existing backers. The art for the 13th card is David Hahn's cover art for The Dusk hardcover, stripped of logo and trade dress and presented for the first time in its purest form.

We're only producing 50 sets and there will never be a 51st. As mentioned, each set is signed and numbered by Alex Segura, Elizabeth Little and David Hahn, and are available for $60 per set, limit one per backer.  Sorry, with so few available, we have to limit it that way.

If you'd like to add a set to your existing pledge, all you need to do is adjust your pledge amount upwards by $60 and leave a comment on this update (or on the main Kickstarter page) letting us know.  We'll confirm the change and manually add the Lobby Card Set to your rewards on our end.  We'll send out another update when all 50 sets are gone to make sure no one over-pledges for no reason.

Thanks for all your support.
